depends - shore or boat??
The sound of mull and loch sunart have a few big skate around,
I was up there 2 weeks since and its was pants from the shore. The seas have been huge so all the pollack were still out in deep water, but have started to show. My neighbour stayed an extra week after I came back having caught naff all, and he\'d seen a few reasonable fish.
If your on mull go to the tackle/bookshop in tobermory. They have some leaflets on the counter with all the good shore marks on and also do 4 hour boat trips (weather permitting) for about 15 quid.
If you want I can scan the one I have in and post it (if I can find it still)ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ.
Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs
Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

Cheers i have fished there for about 12 years now but have never been up before june before but got lots of leave to use so might as well head up.
Mainly shore fishing but might get on a boat trip if the weather is ok.Pollack, codling, conger and wrasse will be the target species but dogfish would be welcomed as well.

Richy when you say the Mull, I assume you mean the Mull of Galloway as per usual, and not the Isle of Mull as Mark was alluding to.
Quite a difference, distance wise and in fishing
Was over at Drumore and general area 2 weekends ago, very quiet, anglers report just a few dogs, whiting and odd pollack.
Terally is worth a try early season, even if its just to get into the swing of things (doggie bash)If it doesn't bite its not worth catching!!!

ling basher
mate of mine lives in stranraer and he said that loch ryan is ful of fish at the moment,
mostly doggies and yting
there was a match last week won with 11 doggies from old house point i believe.
he said the cod are on the rock marks during the right conditions and the pollock have been there all winter.
hope this helps
