    Anyone currently using one of these?had a look at one the other week...gonna be used mainly in the river with odd sesh off blyth beach.I spend more time with the bairn flattie bashing and picking off a few codling in the Tyne more than owt else these days.Was thinking about the afaw match mk2 also so not 100% yet,mainly thinking off the big tides in the river....any opinions...cheers chaps.

    Awesome Rod & my Favourite. Will do all that you say you want and then some. Wouldnt part with mine.

      Same as Bob.
      I wouldn't part with mine. It's a great river rod & an even better beach rod.
      Small diameter butt, lightweight & plenty of power.
      I will only be out for a couple of hours pet.

        Nearly swapped mine but pleased I didn't I love the rod. As bob and bri have already said its a rod that will fish beaches and rivers with ultimate bite detection . You should have a look at the ultra lite as well it's also a great rod and both rods will launch a 4oz further than a rod can throw a 5oz!!!!!!

            I have a lite and ultra lite. I use the lite as a clean ground match rod and the ultra lite for flatties/eels and close in work. The ultra lite is superb! Great fun, the lite is fine too. Pulled in plenty on that and the blank has a suprising level of power in it. Like other have said, 5oz otg no prob, can pendulum 4oz too.
