Sitting in the house today and decieded to take my nephew along Blyth pier for his first shot at fishing. Tide was low and it was very windy when we got there but we gave it a shot. Nowt getting caught apart from the odd macky on the end. Wind droped and tide was coming in fast so it looked good for some fish and then it happened............a local diving charter boat came right along the pier only a few yards out meaning everyone had to reel in. This went on for ages with them going along the pier and back again!!! they even went into the harbour side backwards and fowards Not only were we having to avoid the the boat but we then had to avoid the 3 or 4 divers that were swimming along the side of the pier this happened to me at Beadnell last week but i never thought it would happen here. Anyway we just packed up and left with my 10yr old nephew gutted.

Last night at Shields 5 jet ski's blasting up and down the river about 60 yards from the pier, i like a few others wait until they pass then cast out but a few lads waiting unitl they get close then have a cast.
