roker pier monday
had a ride down to roker pier today to give my new penn fathom a try and my second hand ziplex sst.
weather perfect got there 9.15am just two lads fishing on the end, made my way along to the second steps first two casts just to try the rod and reel out very pleased with both of them.
had a few casts nowt doing not even any crabs bait still on the hook.
one or two other lads came along and at around 12 noon there was a good turn out but still just one or two fish landed.
got my first take 2.30pm very small flattie then got a nice coalie but put it back. nice day out good crack with some of the lads and lost no gear so not a bad day out.
by the time I got back to the car my back was starting to give some some stick. just have to go to the pub for one or two whisky to kill the pain and it works
