  • Diawa saltist 30bg brakes

    Alright everyone.

I've got the above reel and I'm wondering which brakes are which. I've had a few birdies so I'm wondering if the black blocks will be slower than the red ones that's in it.

    Cheers for any help.

The biggest ones will make the reel slower. 2 will make it slower than one etc....

The reds are the ones with the most breaking force, then black are medium,
and i may be wrong but im sure you can get white/clear for fast running.
Check the pins dont have a slight burr at the ends as the blocks wont fully
engage with the breaking ring, also no oil on blocks or breaking ring.
If your stuck i can have a look for you.
If its got t1ts or tyres, its gonna be trouble.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem

Thanks a lot Neil. I've only had the reel 2 weeks it must just be me being poo at casting cos it's got the red brakes in.
