Well we have just had our caravan holiday in Whitley Bay confirmed through the Daily Mail partners "Breakfree Holidays." While the cost starts at an advertised "£15pp" that is for a minimum of four people, a £3 booking fee, a service charge and breaks for either 3 or 4 days makes the actual price of the holiday far higher than originally imagined. So our 11 day holiday cost £263 or £24 a day. Still a bargain, as booking through the park would have cost £532, so we saved £269, just over 50% ! Here is a link if anyone is interested:

Also Lynn received great news this week that the polyps she had surgically removed are benign, so that is a huge weight off her mind now the threat of cancer has been removed. It has been a long 4 plus months! She can now concentrate on getting well again, getting back to work and being fit for our summer holidays.
Thanks to all our friends who have pm'd us with good wishes and to the lads on here who have messaged me about fishing and recreation around Whitley Bay. Looking forward to meeting you in July and also renewing old friendships from previous trips to the North East.
