Depends on bait but 3/0 , 4/0 , and 5/0 will do you fine unless your going for whiting and flats
    Tight lines and good luck
    I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
    And we will fish together

If your uptiding mustad uptide viking hook cause they pull out when stuck. Will you be at anchor or drifting?. I personally use a general purpose old schooler.
A get a 4ft length of 30lb line, tie a loop a third of the way along which leaves 2 tag ends. Loop goes to a swivel on your main line. Tie a lead clip onto the short tag end. 4/0 viking hook onto longer tag end.Done.
You can also adapt this as a rotten bottom by tying a weak line link between the clip and the lead.
Cheap as chips and not to expensive to lose. Basic but it works
        Hope this helps mate
When God made time he made loads of it.
