Trying to inform is one thing but slagging the lad off is another. people from this site also slagged him of on other internet forums. Im not saying what he did was right but to chase him around the net is a bit much. Give the lad a break, does anyone on here really think he set out to mess up, how long is his crucification going to last.

As one of the people who addressed the issue when he posted on WSF, I think you'll find that I didn't slag him off. I pointed out that the fish were undersize. I did, however have a discussion with a few members who told me that I was wrong to point that out, and gave my reasons why I wasn't wrong to point it out.

To say he was chased round the internet is a gross exaggeration - he posted on the same board I visit!

I have NEVER slagged anyone off on here or any other message board. If I think they've done wrong, I will say so.

a bloke on here gets put right on what i see as a person who loves his fishing did something different and did not know size limits etc - genuine mistake i think.

I'll hold my hands up and say i was wrong to praise the person in question about his catch (size) i took his word however as pointed out they clearly were'nt in size judging by the photo's and later his admission,whatever else i posted stands "if they were in size he done nothing wrong in keeping them"
I rarely use any other forums so i'm unaware whats posted elsewhere
Clearly he made a mistake publically and no doubt regrets it all,i think it should be left at that

there was another thread on a certain forum showing some bass that looked smaller than micks ,and they was from a boat and had the oppertunity to chuck them back and keep the bigger ones ,so it shows ya hes not the only one that as faulted or made a mistake in measuring
