This thread has got me thinking (dangerous). Its been far to long since I last shore fished, when I did I got my bait from either Johns at Wallsend, Temples/Fraser's Whitley Bay or McDermott Blyth and if pushed Billy's North Shields or I.D. Byker. . I know two of the five have ceased trading and three did supply good rag/lug. Where else North of the Tyne can you get good bait from.

Dragon carp bit dearer but the lug you get 25 worms been in this morn they've got lug in and other frozen bait.No rag till next friday.(from what I seen the lug looked canny)
