Would be a good idea Wallsendo but it's too tricky taking them on the rocks fishing for the likes of wrasse, pollock, conger etc. I've put "yes" next to the species they have caught already below (15's not bad for novices and that includes 2 tadpole fish which I've never caught before).
Cod - Yes
Coalie - Yes
Whitie - Yes
Wrasse
Bass
Plaice - Yes
Dab - Yes
Flounder - Yes
Conger
Mackerel - Yes
Pollock - Yes
Pouting - Yes
Ling
Turbot
Weever
Eel - Yes
Herring
Gurnard
Rockling - Yes
Haddock
Wolf fish
Poor Cod
Granny fish - Yes
Pogge
Scad
Launce - Yes
Dover Sole
Hag Fish
Dogfish
Tadpolefish - Yes
Bullheads - Yes
LumpsuckersPut back what you don't need.

That's excellent mate - never caught a cod from the shore myself so for them to have done it well done!!
I bet H&S and red tape is a problem in a venture like yours....Ooh a new vid!

Aye,
Forgot the mullet.
Seen them browsing in sunderland harbour and I have read of other venues.
Suggestion for you .
Concentrate on fish with a recognised record.
Award 100 points for a species that matches that record so if a person catches a fish that is half the uk record he gets 50 points. IE a percentage of that fishes weight with regard to the uk record.
You can only score once per species...but you can enter more than once for a particular species. So if you get a beter one you can re enter.
Personally I would love to see this done on trust and catch and release.
Is it open to boats or just shore?
Cheers
