Was thinking of giving the oxfauld a bash Thursday night, Friday morning. High water is about 0200. What's this mark like at this time of year? I intend to fish about two hours either side of high water. Also any pointers on the best bait to use (apart from crab as I probably won't get any). And what am I likely to catch - apart from a cauld

I'd try the bay itself with light gear (see Wallsendos post), Probably get the same size of fish but with more sport and lose less end tackle.Tides & Sea State For North Shields

Went down for a look at low water tonight (there was someone fishing King Edwards bay - was it anyone off here?). We have planned our spot to fish the gully at high water with the option of moving along the prom to fish the bay itself at high water.
Will be going to Frazers for bait tomorrow and if there's no crab we will have to use rag/lug and perhaps a bit of mackerel or mussel.
There will be fish caught tomorrow night I tell thee
