You know what it is, I wish I'd never bothered and just binned the rod!! it seems more hassle than its worth trying to do people a favour.

I was going to give it away, yes, I said its an ideal starter rod and want it to go to someone deserving.

And Mick has kindly gave a reel to go with it, so its not really much to ask to put a few quid as a donation is it?

So far we have had £15 put up, so whats that, a few pints?

i'll leave it up to you what you do Gary, any donation to any charity would be ok with me. I know there was a lad in byker on here about a week ago who had his shed screwed and his fishing gear nicked...just a thought but like I say mate its up to you.

I think he got sorted mate??

Anyway, not getting into the " which charity is more worthy" debate.

Happy for a donation to go to Derek's fund.

So we have £16 bid so far.

                      Anymore???

I'll also add 10 6oz weights, 6 tronix ready made rigs, a 50m 25lb spool of ultima supersnood, a pack of 5 gemini splash downs, a pack of 10 sakuma crosslock snaps and a 4oz spool of 18lb ultima F1.
I'll add these so it makes the package nearly a full set up.

                                Lol.

OK its getting a bit bigger than I thought.

And we have just about have a full setup.

Ive for a couple spool of line to go with also.

So what does everyone think if we close this thread and if those that have stuff to put to it I will combine it all so we get a half decent starter setup sorted and I'll arrange delivery etc once we are agreed??

Maybe let it run til new years night? And whatever is made goes to Derek's charity??

                                Thanks lads.
