  • Century Kompressor Sport (pre metal band)

    Getting myself one of these as a second rod, anyone used one of these before and on what type of ground you used it on and what the bite detection is like, any comments or feedback greatly appreciated All of the info i can see is about the metal ban model
    Tools of choice; Zziplex Zeteque TXL GT + 427 SU Tip section, Zziplex Dymic LT14, Penn 525 slidey x2, Akios Scora 80

    2015/2016 Summer / Winter season missions
    1, To catch and Ray, Doggie and a Tubot
    2, To break the 5lb codling barrier (biggest 4lb 8oz Nov 2014)
    3, Grow a pair and tell the wife im gan fishing !

    this is purely my personal view.

    id used a tip tornado for a few years so wanted a more beefy, heavy ground rod.

    i bought the model your looking at thinking it was just what i needed.

    it turned out to be no more powerful than my original tip tornado.

    i didnt like the "c" curve action after using a "j" for years.

    it was thicker and heavier and would bend just as much with a whiting on as the tip tornado did.

    i hated it so sold it and another i won in a match.

    lots of people out there love them and think they are an ideal heavy ground rod but you could get a thinner lighter rod to exactly the same job.

    sorry if ive upset anyone but this is just my view.

      im of the opinion that a rod that suits 1 person wont suit another , or wont suit the venue , my advice is buy and try until you find a rod that suits both you and the venue .
