in my humble opinion the difference between 0.35 and 0.40 is the equivalent of chucking with no bait on and then chucking with a land crab tied on respectively.

Its less than ten yards for a topcaster at 250yards plus on a flat field, so if you get the same difference by adding a bait them i agree with you. When i add a bait it certainly takes more off but thats just me. I loose at less 12 yards. :-)

they recon the cod's only about 40 yard's of blyth beach at the mo,
so no need really m8
