  • Blyth Pier

I was wanting to have a go fishing at Blyth - Can I fish the pier with the wind turbines on, or is fishing not allowed from here ? If not, I guess the pier south of the river is the place to go ?

The fishing marks only shows the southern pier - is parking safe around here ?

    Thanks.

Hallo mate - welcome to NESA (10% discount in some Tackle Shops )

I don't think you can get on the pier with the turbines (could be wrong) so the south pier is your best bet...

Macky bashers love it - and it will always be full when the weather is good. But it also a good spot for bait fishing too or even float fishing.

Parking is OK - there's a small carpark just as you drive into the Port of Blyth entrance (you're not able to go any further into the harbour unless you're a permit holder)
    Ooh a new vid!

Thanks for that. I'll try the south pier then - hopefully the weather won't be as bad as they're getting it down South !!

The weather is glorious Sunday though supposedly

Funny you should say that but on the South Pier tonight there were some young(ish) Charvas on apparently drinking cans and smoking spliffs....Met Gregg while there...not one of us caught like and I don't think anyone caught while we were there (which was a good couple of hours)

                      Good meeting you Gregg

There is a way on, but its dangerous, and you arent supposed to go on. Personally, I wouldnt take the risk, for fish or otherwise. If you do see any smackheads, be sure to treat them with the respect they deserve, run over them several times.

Spinning mate - I think next time I'm gonna take my bait rod tho...chuck a bait in the middle while I use the float on the lighter rod.

The same can be said for dusk and a high tide - expecially if it's warm calm night
