Worth bearing in mind that if youre not a Member that a Security Guard is stationed there now & has been stopping folk climbing around the Fence.

Membership runs from January to December so not worth joining till then.

My favourite spot there is the Spiles, the area before the Gate. Can be great with a good swell running down the Pier, when the Pier would be closed as it is on any big Sea. Pity they couldnt raise the whole thing another few feet.

north drum head is the hotspot some very good fish comes off it, a lot you dont here of great spot for quantity and quality.

extreme care to be taken if any movement on very dangerous pier with it been low down but any signs of water coming over pier move off .

also as bob c states you have to be a member of seaham sea angling club to fish it well worth joining.
did you know panel pins comes in diff sizes ?

Agree with Bob C the spiles is my favourite spot there.. If you cant get on the drum head i wouldnt bother fishing the rest of the pier if yr after cod.. Over the years ive caught more cod at the spiles than ever would have on the pier.. Just my opinion of course, others may dissagree!
