    Blyth Pier - tonight

Well....it rained, and rained and rained some more......

Caught nowt, except pneumonia....was spinning and bait fishing.

Bottom Rig: tried one up, tried one down, tried big hooks, tried little hooks - bait was mackeral/squid

Lures: tried casting long, short, sideways etc etc etc

T'was not to be....only the 5th time I've been fishing since taking it back up again and had thus far caught every time....s'pose everyone has to blank now and again.

People were catching the odd one or two mackerel - just not me. ...beats sitting in the house getting fat though eh?
    Ooh a new vid!

I fished at Amble yesterday , shorts and tee shirt all day. Not a bite though. Loads of terns diving but nowt on flies or spinners. These offshore wind should improve the chance of mackeral though. Might try Blyth tonight I could do with a good soaking been days since I was drenched !!

Try float fishing.....the bloke just up from me was doing it and he'd caught about five/six.....he caught three in pretty quick sucession just as the tide was at it's peak and the magic hour at dusk
