  • Need to fish....

Am champing at the bit - haven't been fishing for what seems ages...want to go tomorrow as it's an evening high tide....any ideas?

Are the river marks not worth it with all the rain? What about Blyth Pier?

I might go across to Seaton Sluice - but again is all the fresh water going to affect things?

    Help me........................................please
    Ooh a new vid!

well ,flatty,s could be an option in the river ,and plus big size tides too,but there again may be too much weed ,branches floating up and down ,but its an option ,and better than sitting in the house infront of the computer all day, where ever you decide good luck and send us a report when you get back,

and you can try your beaded lure rig out

I'd be as surprised as anyone if that caught anything

I think I'll gan for a drive around tonight and scope out North Shields Quay and also see how rammed Blyth is...I may even take my spinners across for a chuck, just to see.....

Just had a drive down to Blyth pier, had a few casts before the heavens opened, never seen rain like it, pleased I had my waterproofs in my bag.
I still got a bit wet but it was worth it just to watch the Lacoste shell suit brigade running for cover

I left about 7pm, the rain looked like it might stop, almost changed my wet trainers for the wellies I keep in the car to go back but decided the chippy was a better option.

Did you catch owt? there was a few small coalies caught while I was there, but the water looked manky.
              Cheers, Keith.

                Did I catch?

I could see the heavy rain at Blyth as I was driving down the coast road...nearly put me off. I'd only put a pair of jeans and trainers on and was still wearing my work shirt. I'd only taken the rod and lures "in case"

Luckily the rain had scared people away and the pier was dead apart from one or two....I initially fished where we were last time, but blanked there after 20 or so casts. So i wandered up past the bend and after only 4 or so casts i was in to a mackerel...thought it was weed at first coz it didn't seem to do anything - then it went mental...I love the way they do that.

Only stayed another 15-20 mins after that - the rain came back so I trudged back to the car.

Tally: 1 lone tiger.....but immensely satisfying as I was only fishing on spec' anyway.

Made my mind up where I'm going tomorrow now - back to Blyth....gonna take the beachcaster and bottom fish as well...

Yes i had to laugh when the lads got drenched in their trackies and hoodies.
It got so bad that rain i was damp through my floatation siut and wellies.
