  • LING..blyth pier

Went to blyth pier for a few hours on sunday, took some lug, rag.crab and a few lures and i picked a few mussels for a good variety.
Not even a nibble from the macks but on one of my last casts i thought i was reeling n a bit of seaweed and to my surprise i had a small ling about 1/2 pound on a rag bait and it looked like it had some type of disease. wish it was a bit bigger like but never mind it got returned. i took a photo on my phone i will try and post it if i suss how to do it.

Has anyone had any decent ones from a pier? first one ive seen

i had a couple of ling on roker pier last year, thats the first time i've ever caught them from the shore in the north east. there were also some ling caught on s.shields pier and one of the rock marks up northumberland last year, its a puzzle as to why some were sudenly caught from the shore especially as they came from such a wide area and were caught within a few days of each other !

A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.
