  • Anyone else see the sheep

Did anyone else see the floating sheep, well it looked like a sheep upside down, floating around near blyth pier on friday night, i think it was.... Just wondering if anyone got a closer look as i find it a bit unusual that a dead sheep was just floating randomly in the sea

seen quite a few heading down stream at the moment! they'll be feeding the crabs in the wear when they get there!!, but I'd guess the tyne's gonna be the same.

not seen the rivers as high before, and still rising. the ford at stanhope is showing 5 foot on the height gauges they installed, and the tyne near hexham is nearly over the top

should be a cracking run of sea trout and salmon by the weekend!

I'm suprised there's been nothing on the news about some tit having a go at crossing it then if it's that high!

almost... someone tried yesterday when we we're there.

in a ford escort! the water was over his bonnet while the back wheels were still on the ramp

was tempted to leave him there

We had a cow up here earlier on this year. I was called out with the Coastguards to rescue it when it escaped from the farm at Boulmer, but it cleared off and because it was getting dark there was little chance of the lifeboat catching it.
I found it dead a couple of days later when I was fishing further North in our club match. Had two nice fish that night!
