  • Blyth Tonight

Just got back an hour ago from blyth pier, ive never seen so many mackeral caught from that pier in 15 years or so,i caught over 60 in an hour and a half and kept 20 good ones for the pot and friends.in fact i just popped 2 under the grill with a bit seasoning for my supper...lovely.but their were people coming of with black bags, buckets and just about anything else they could carry them in.its been like that all day must have been hundreds caught,,great fun though, but i wonder how many get wasted??
    cheers

Its a cracking advert for fishermen and Blyth in general or Shields/Sunderland etc,i can just imagine what a non fishermen/women would be thinking if they took a leisurely stroll along one of our piers.

I say it every year but they will close it and especially if any damage is done by these idiots,it was reported in the local press about a load of young'uns fishing/messing about on Cambois Pier last week and the Lighthouse had alledgedly been broken into and damage caused........Watch this space
                              Cheers Alan...
