    Good map...

The North Groyne area....there's a big car park right there too...went down last night but was scared by the dead sheep so much that I went to Blyth.

It's a good spot - I would fish further up the beach away from the sandy end...at least that's what a local "expert" told me...if the sheep is still there on friday I was about 15ft away from it...that's where I'd fish.
    Ooh a new vid!

It was quality - saw lots of the big acts on the Pyramid stage....it rained on and off all weekend and then it got to biblical standards on the monday....

Glad to be home - will be updating my MySpace this week with the pics

                Top five for the weekend?

                1) The Who
                2) The Arctic Monkeys
                3) Lily Allen
                4) Shirley Bassey
                5) Paul Weller

There were lots of other really good bands but sometimes they seem a little too polished

I went down there in 94 and 95 was red hot both times. I think the thing might have got a bit too big for its own good now. Most of what i saw on tv seemed a bit souless with the exception of some of the acts playing in one of the smaller tents. The Gossip (not that im a fan) seemed good. and what a noise for a 3 piece. Im a big manics fan but even they seemed a bit tame, maybe cos they played in daylight?

Funny you should say that but I was referring to the Manics when I said about some bands being too polished....don't get me wrong they were excellent technically but it did seem like a tick box performance...

Also good were the Magic Numbers - not usually my cup of tea, but as they started their performance the sun came out and stayed out...which was a very simple pleasure indeed.

As to Glasto being too big for it's boots you could be right - it's getting to be about the money these days. Average of £5 for scran, £4 for pint of lager (drink the cider though as it's cheaper and it's like moonshine) everything elses is overpriced too.

It cost me and the lass nearly £500 before we'd even got there, then we spent nearly £300 in spends....we could have gone half board somewhere and drank/ate like kings for that.

Saying that I'd prob go again...but not for a couple of years at least.

When i went in 1995 it cost me a grand total of £25 to get there back and in. That was just petrol money to my mate as the fence was a little bit less secure in those days.

Yeah i agree on the manics front, I saw them at newcastle uni in the days before Richey Edwards went awol and it was fantastic, eyerone was going mental! even when i saw them at the arena they were ok(about 1999 i think) but maybe they are just all getting a bit fat and old now?
