Just a quick one to see if it has been fishing lately? I am just back from work and the eldest laddy wants to go for a chuck tomorrow after school and that's the first place I thought of easy access and safe?(if the hole in the fence is still there!) also which end fishes best, towards the marina entrance or towards the river mouth as I have never fished there before.
We always fish the marina end mate but never had much luck there and there's been quite a bit if rain over last night and Today so wouldn't really fish the river tomorrow but ya never na gd luck
Sized cod since Sept 1st = 32 biggest 3lb
Pb codling 6lb December 2012 tynemouth pier
Holes in the fence are still there , if you enter from the marina end I find the first fence you go thro that little bit there fishes best but people say go thro the second fence and the corner closest to the ferry does. I say if tha there tha there. Lee
I remember years ago when you could fish off the royal quays where the DVDs ferry terminal is now , we used to have some great nights on there. My dad used to take me fishing there and he always done quite well. Also when the docks used to be smiths docks. The rotten jetties , my dad actually went through them he also done really well on there.
I'd say the best part of smiths is if you go from the marina end and keep walking down till you see a green electric street box , directly in front of that
I looked out the bedroom window last night and there was 2 people fishing the ferry landing , they must work for port of the Tyne or they jumped the fence.
Does anyone have a reference point for where these fence holes are by any chance? I remember you used to be able to get in next to the ferry but not sure anymore
