thinking about buying a new headlamp.

at the minute I use a black diamond storm, which ive had for a few years for climbing, it cost about £70 and is 100 lumens, it's a good quality light and its fairly bright, but ive noticed a lot of fisherman have much brighter ones, and ive heard the cree ones are the brightest so looked them up and found this one

its only £14 so Im dubious about how good it would be.

has anyone used it? or any other suggestions?

    cheers

      New Headlight

I have one of these, works really well, the only issue, its a copy of the LED Lenser H14R BUT uses different batteries, not a big problem.

Overall very impressed with it so far

Ave got one mate it's spot on bright enuf for me and I fish mainly rock marks where their are no lights near by. Batteries don't last long tho abt 3 hours on lower setting so a always take 4 batteries them last me the 6 hours I normally fish.

If you can get hold of a laptop battery, break it open and the batteries inside fit the headlight. When the laptop battery fails there is usually only one bad battery inside the rest will be ok.

Just bought one and used at Hendon for the first time this weekend.

Cracking light, though not sure what the strobe effect is for.

No battery's in them though so you need to factor that cost in too.

You can buy the LI ION cells on ebay for £16 a pair and they are 5000mah so last ages. You get a cheap and cheerful charger with the headlight though.

I found mine very comfortable to wear and the tilt click system works a treat.

I paid £30 for mine but since then (typically) i've seen em for just over £20.

head torch came yesterday, seems ok, its well bright, and batteries were already charged.

had to buy an EU to UK adapter for the charger plug.
