For information and anyone who\'s interested there is to be a consultation meeting on 29th September at Hull University in the Ferens Building, Lesley Downes lecture theatre. This meeting has been called by the North Eastern Sea Fisheries Committee as a means of consulting with recreational Sea Anglers (RSA) over the proposed intertidal netting for bass throughout the winter months. It will afford anglers an opportunity to air their views with regard to the proposed fishery and ask relevent questions over any concerns they may have relating to the project and or any other fishery related topic.
This meeting is the second in a series aimed at informing anglers of the NESFC role in fisheries management along the Yorkshire and Cleveland Coastlines. However, it will in the major part inform anglers about steps taken to ensure that the increase of bass and subsequent elavation of commercial pressure will not detrimentally impact these stocks, allegedly.
The lecture theatre will be open from 18:30pm with the meeting scheduled to start at 19:00, it is expected that proceedings should end approximately 21:30pm. All are welcome, although could those who wish to attend drop me a line confirming their intention (just so I know how many to expect, seating and all that).
Cheers
Doc
