    Excellent pic Tony.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

I agree Tony, well framed pic and those clouds are awesome.
If all about you are catching fish, cast in their swim !!!

I had to crop it square as there was too much \"nothingness\" over on the right of the original pic.

Harry, you mentioned on Andys\' site about the \"rocky outcrop\" you could see when looking South from Shields Pier - well that\'s where the pic\'s taken from - Trow Rocks.

            Well Alan,
The spot we were fishing in the photo isn’t a particularly productive one.
The gradient of the beach (in the background) is EXTREMELY shallow – I’ve seen surfers walking out over 200 yds and the water is still not much higher than their knees. The “ground “ is also VERY clean there – just sand (for what seems to be all the way across to Denmark !)
If you follow the rocks (heading South for about another 50 – 60 yds, and going below the canon on the cliff top) there’s a much better area.
It’s possible to get right on the rock edge there during a big, low tide and casting in around a 45 degree angle to the cliff puts you into a deeper, rougher area which is the entrance to a bay. (see the pic under the heading “South Tyneside Coastline” in the “Tyne” area of “SEA STATE”, and you’ll see where I mean.

This is a pic of me at that very location – taken by Ian (with his phone !?!?), a little while ago.

You\'ve gotta keep ya wits about you and watching for the incoming tide, otherwise you\'ll.....erm....have a rather wet return trip.....
