  • Cannon line release trigger.

Well guys in for a penny in for a pound. Taped the release contraption to my 15ft rod today. Put the reel on and went up local fields for practice. Seem ok. Still odd though-reckon my tt and 525 can match no bother at moment.
Thinking I should have got a Penn Surf reel rather than cheaper Jarvis Walker 6500 but to be honest its all about trying at the moment. Also ordered some 80lb braid for leader.
    Mick.
Personal best, 12.5lb Tope Scotland. 22/05/2012.

I have the mono leader on now 60lb. Feels ok but thought I would give braid a go out of curiosity.

if ur used to the multiplier feel but wanna use fixed spool use a thumbbutton. it mimics a multiplier release . just remember to have ur drag fully tightened

??????? - Have one spool with 30lb braid and 60lb shockleader and never snapped the mainline yet - spare spool with 80lb braid which is used when encountering masses of weed that normally catch on the shockleader knot and eventually clog the tip ring.
