  • If you were to chose....?

I'm going to do it - I'm finally going to do some proper fishing next week.

The problem is location. I'm torn between these two places:

North Shields Fish Quay (car park next to old lifeboat jetty) onto the mudflats south of the Black Middens

    or

    Seaton Sluice beach....

If anyone out there had to chose - which would be the preferred venue?
    Ooh a new vid!

Id try the river, with smaller font. Sorry i mean smaller hooks. 1/0s for flatties.
Maker and inventor of CANNYLINKS, the best rotten bottom system bar none. IMHO!

        cheers...

        ...for the advice.

Looked at both venues this week at low tide...both look like they could be good, but for ease of access you can't go wrong with the river (smallest font i could find LOL)

              Someone mentioned.....

              .....crab baits.

Is it as fiddly as it looks to hook and present nicely on the hooks?

I've always steered clear because I'm a little intimidated by it, for fear of making a dogs ear of it

If you're using 1/0 hooks then just cut up your crab so it's small enough not to cover the hooks and bind with a bit elastic. Presentation's important but you'll learn that with time but only if you give it a shot.

You might also have a better chance of catching further up the river. Anywhere up to and including Newcastle business park.
