Nice one on the tope, never caught one from the shore but did have one around 40lbish from the bay less than 600 yards off flat rock. Seen alsorts caught of that mark, my mate got a black bream 1 year and i got a dragon fish.

Seen mullet shoals, bass, coalie, mackerel, wrasse, doggies, congor, pollack ow the list goes on :0

        Love the west coast

Well done on the shore caught tope...There is a thread elsewhere to say the tope are appearing in the Isle of man in numbers from the beaches . they are expected to arrive in Luce bay this week in numbers too.

Great picture ...but for those looking to target tope from the beach may like to have a look at this article on handling tope as they have delicate stomach regions and can be damaged by incorrect handling.

I am hoping to get over there this weekend with the boat but that will depend on work commitments.

                  Cheers

Just had two nights up there with the kids, no fishing as the liitle one would have jumped off cliffs.... and that's without Smarties. Been lovely weather but Mon/Tue were windy, Wed morning was gorgeous just right for fishing the west side.

                    The harbour Wednesday morning

                    North side Tuesday night

I head up twice a year every year and every year i come home with a smile on my face, not just for the fishing but the total stress free feeling of allt hat open land, some days you can fish all day and not see a single person...bloody great.

Its a few weeks until i think i can get up next but know one else can make it...not sure about fishing the rock marks on my own incase something happens....i have fell before and was lucky....always at the back of my mind if i had bashed my head that time and i was on my own.

                        Anyway nice catch report
