  • Warkworth Beach

I'm thinking of having a trip to Warkworth beach sometime next week for a bit of flattie basning. Can anyone give me any advice about what part of the beach to fish and at which state of the tide. Is it better over high water or low water etc. & will I be better off fishing when there is a swell running or when it is flat calm ?
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks..

Me nd a mate fished alnmouth beach last monday at low tide, had 5 flounder 1 turbot. Couldnt see the bites tho, cos ov the wind. Then moved round to the river for high tide .Caught 3 flounder there. Used rag, lug nd mackeral but found lug was the best

Take a packet of small sandeel with you as you can get some good results for flatties on them. Failing that cut long thin strips off the belly of mackerel.
