Just got back from jackies beach.......Blank for me and me mate. Had another mate fishing the shelf at marsden and lad next to him had a decent fish around 7 and half lb on me mates scales but there out a bit so i reckon that fish would be closer to 9lb. Was hard going today with strong winds earlier but eased off around 2ish and got really cold. Well done to all the lads who took part and very well done to the winner!!

Been wandering around Marsden and Leas trying to learn some marks. There was talk of a 7 1/2 and a 6 from the black path area. Saw a few smaller fish caught from near Souter and one lad had a 2lb+ wrasse. Which I understand won't count.

2lb wrasse sounds interesting, was that around Souter as well?

There were 2 wrasse caught at souter today both about the 2lb mark. Was it the guys with the brolly up that you spoke to on the very point of souter magpies? If so then i was just to the north of them under the other brolly the other wrasse was caught to the left of me, they also had a nice codling of about 5lb. Hard work in that wind today.
