I used to have a 427 su. There a realy good rough ground rod but there not as stiff in the tip as people make out but they are easy to cast and can handle thick kelp no problem.
    Really nice rod.
I only sold mine when i got a zeteque

Thanks for reply..do you find it suitable as an all rounder..or is it just for rough stuff..reel up or reel down?...bite detection?...

For me the m427 su has to be the worse zziplex I have used it feels UN balanced tip is to soft for the butt. Just feels a all round clumsy rod but that my opinion if you want a all rounder a zti evo or m4 evo or a hst evo are much better rods

i would not say its an all rounder..
the bite detection for decent size fish like cod is excellent but i think it would be poor for small fish.. there is much better rods for fishing on clean to mixed ground..
I would say an m4 evo aswell for mixed ground or a new bullet gt

Hope not Phil, iv'e just bought one !
Talked to a few people before I bought, who really rate the rod ?
I wanted something with a softer tip, as that suits my casting.
Tried it against the new Dymic lt bullet, it felt very similar, I have the old Dymic lt bullet which I love !Was definitely tempted !
Looked at the Zeteque, and I know a lot of people swear by them, but the tip section I would put similar to an old Cod 6, if it suits them great, but not what I was looking for, way too stiff for me, can see why he has brought out the GT !
Now...if there had been one of them there !
                Mel....

Try a zeteque gt. Has very good bite detection and a softer tip but has a mid section and butt strong enough to cope with most fish. Strong rod which you can fish rough ground or beaches with
