North Northumberland marks

Im thinking about going out for a bit of a mission on Saturday, but can't decide where to go. I'm thinking about craster, cullernose, seahouses, maybe upto st abbs or eyemouth. I'm hoping to maybe get some decent cod, and maybe a wrasse. I don't mind rock-hopping or fishing rough ground ( in fact I want to try out some rough ground rigs).

Can anyone recommend some marks, with a short lob into deep water and/or kelp beds, preferably without too much of a hike from the car?

Also does anyone fish the rocks at boulmer, I can't find much info about fishing there, but there's a couple of little beaches I'd like to try around there as well.

Try howick haven m8 if ya looking for just a chuck its deep water and will throw up big fish

50mph southerly winds with gusts upto 70mph might put the damper on your mission. With winds like that you will get a swell that will wash up cullernose point and make it a bit naughty. You could fish the island at the back of Craster over low water but would be exposed to the winds. You would find shelter around Eyemouth and St Abbs but the swell could be a problem and the rocks will be like glass with the forecasted rain too. Id hold off until sunday mate.

Beadnell park at the phone box next to the harbour, go straight through from the phone box you can fish the skeer at any stage of the tide. Craster south of the harbour you can park next to the kids play ground its an easy walk to get onto the skeers and can fish from where you park all the way back along to the likes of the black holes and cullernose

all those marks worth a chuck,be careful at eyemouth or st abbs if the forcast is right for w/e winds and heavy rain. davy.

Some good marks mentioned there! Also Newton, but it might be more of a walk than you fancied! Marden rocks just at the south end of Foxton bay next to boulmer has fished well recently. Sugar sands and the howdiemont are two of the small beaches north of boulmer, never fished these and, but ahve heard they do get weeded out early in the season.

The weather does look a bit iffy, if Ive got a few plans, I can make the decision in morning.

Fished beadnell point today for 5 hours, 2 undersized codling. Very poor.

Thanks again for all the recommendations, I appreciate it, but things didn't go according to plan this morning, and didn't end up getting out till mid afternoon, so stayed local.

Working tomorrow so hopefully make the trip up north next weekend.
