Any Macky Kicking about?

Hi,
There i am new to this forum does anyone know if there is any activity out on the boats with the mackeral as of lately because i have heard they are only two miles off roker? There is a lot of action whilst bottom fishing with the plaice of Roker pier some to three and a half pound showed last year but so far this year the best ones have been a pound and three quaters with boulmer worm the best bait with bits and bobs( small fish) in between however i haven't tryed spinning yet.
Any ideas of where to spin or float fish for Mackeral now , except the mull up scotland preferably locally (shields, seaham etc)

Welcome to NESA mate, not been out for a while myself but still don't think there have been any caught from the shore yet, shouldn't be long though

give it a few weeks and most piers and deep water rocks marks will produce

See other post below about mackerel, 3-5 weeks yet i would say.

I am going to give it a bash this weekend so will report a catch/no catch later this week.
