  • The beacons new biggin advice.

Alright lads. Me and my mates have fished the beacons a couple of times now and were thinking about giving it a shot over low water on Friday night cos we haven't tried it over low tide. The first time we fished there I had a 2lber and my mate had a 3.5lber. That was a couple of hours after high tide. We fished 3 up and 2 down 2 weeks ago and I had 1 knock and nowt else.

When's the best time to fish there? And is any part worth a go or only certain bits. I'm dying to land another decent fish. I've blanked for the last 6-7 goes and I'm starting to get ****ed off with it. Lol. I've fished Hendon prom the beacons marsden cliffs the ratty lately. Used all sorts of rigs, different lengths from 1.5' to 5' in deep water. Been using fresh and frozen blacks, lug, mussel, bluey and peeler. This is my first winter fishing so I don't know much.

    Any help would be fantastic.
    All the gear, no idea.

I used to fish left of the pipe 3 down , 3 up and had some decent catches.

behind the pub at seaton sluice is also worth a shot at half water going out .

I fish the south end at low water on a big tide. A dying sea or even flat works best. If your wanting to fish at high water try the north end on a dying northerly fishing it up. Ive fished the beacons 3 times so far this season. Had 12 size in total and numerous just under

If it's the one I'm thinking of mate it's half way up the beach between the golf course pakring and the beacons. You can see it on google earth.

Best advice I can give about the beacons is don't cast so far at night! 20- 40yds sometimes.
                      Stay safe!
                      Enjoy your fishing!
                      Take your rubbish home!

head to the golf course , there is a row of houses as you turn the corner with a parking bay opposite .
