    just thought I better let u guys who go on the Heugh as they have just fixed the barrier on the top level so be warned if ya go down won't be as easy to get on cheers ste

            not a prob bob glad I could help how did the barrier get took off was it the sea or us fisherman I've heard different stories

              It come off last winter when we had that huge sea
              species 2013 - codling, whiting, dab, lesser spotted dogfish, spurdog, flounder, shore rockling, 5bd rockling, long spined sea scorpion, ballan wrasse, pollock, coalfish .......



              species hunt to date......... Mackerel, Codling, Whiting, Pouting, LS Sea Scorpion, Shore Rockling, Sprat, Dab, Flounder, Bass, 5 bd Rockling, 3 bd Rockling, Turbot, Eelpout, Pollock, Lesser Weever, Plaice, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Spurdog, Ballan Wrasse, Coalfish.......TBC!!

                  you can still get on just need to climb on the foot pegs won't be long before the sea washes it off again I reckon

                    Looks pretty sturdy, had a look over this afternoon. (did not attempt the climb) Wont be the last new barrier...unless the pier washes away first that is.
                    I probably would not have noticed it was new if I hadnt seen it here

                    Not been fishing it much of late, the Heugh does not fish anywhere near aswell past few years I have noticed. Does not seem that long ago you would go down and expect to pull in a 5lber no bother and even dare to contemplate the double figure cod drag up the steps
