    hi lads i was just wondering what the oldest reel you have ever used.i have a penn No160 pat 1.i was given it by an old bloke last year and he swore by it.trouble is im a bit frightened to use it cos it doesnt have mag breaks .has anyone ever used one of these reels and how much is it worth (im not selling it unless its like del boys old watch )any help on how to use it (if you dare )use it would be a help or should i just donate it to the next nesa auction as a wooden spoon bid
    was that a bite (na mate i think it was wind)

    the oldest i have to hand is a penn squider, No140, but i was in my mams loft over the weeken and found another multiplier, not sure what it is though

      Still have 2 of the 160's Daren though I don't use them now. I bought one off Ebay just for old times sake for about £4. You won't cast vast distances with them and they are very low geared, but once you have got used to it you will hit 80 to 100 yds regularly with no problems. Burnt thumb syndrome is what you suffer with while you're getting it set up right. It also makes you a top class birds nest undoer. lol.
      If all about you are catching fish, cast in their swim !!!
