Now i live in Consett i travel 25-30 miles to the coast to fish and then return.
I know its not really a long way but when i lived in Hartlepool it was ten minutes.
Wondered what distance members travelled to sea fish.
I live in south shields and only have to travel 5 mins to get to some of the best fishing grounds in the north east, i have some excellent marks right here on my doorstep and i do fish them but i still travel miles and miles just to try different marks and fish comps all over the north east, like they saying goes "a change is as good as a rest". Best trip yet has to be the west coast of Ireland last year, and we went be car! Long way but worth it!
My carbon finger print thingy is the size of a big bloke with especially large fingers.......that have then been flattened by a steam roller. God knows what the Labour Govt will do to me should their thought police read this thread. 400 mile round trip, unless I then go fishing lol.
I also live in Consett, a few weeks ago I was travelling to the coast four times a week to fish, that is not including the trip that I usually did as a recce to suss out my mark and pick up my bait before my trip to fish.
Got to say that this year the recce was not as much of a help as previous years, that said it did sometimes pay off.
Jim.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.
