  • Twin Steps Hartlepool

Going there for the first time tomorrow with some mates from down that way. Any tips on how to approach the mark would be very useful, casting distance ? Is it rough ground ? etc.

    Thanks for any help lads.

Much better marks than there mate....

for the ammount of people who fish there all winter the ammount of fish cought is pathetic really.

its one of those park ya car and fish marks. And like most of the easy access marks its rubbish most of the time.

just in front of there is a hole not deep but is a feature that holds water with a sort of reef behind it. Put ya bait in the deep bit.

    Razor and blacks

Could have been worse, they could have been taking him to the Middleton, or maybe even the Red Light

Best advice is to try and sneak off and bunk over the fence on to the Heugh, especially if you are fishing in daylight

Well you were right lads, 4 of us never had a bite, never saw a fish caught from the other anglers there either. Sea looked perfect. Rain was a pain.

I would nt have said the sea was perfect mate it was pretty flat by standard se winds are rubbish down there north north east much better se just puts a top on no real swell it's been very poor down there for a while better chance if fish round the bandstand or lighthouse corner
