A Lot safer and fishes much better with a South easterly.
Very dangerous in a big North easterly, like it is at the moment.

It was under water last night. Best avoided.
The pier will be closed to the public and fishing clubs from the 14th october to the 9th november possibly longer due to extensive repairs.

If you want to fish the pier when seas away best in a south easterly its safe to go on then. avoid it in any sea coming from a northly direction. you can fish it in an eastly sea but.make sure you fish it half tide down to half tide up.

Tynemouth is a death trap in big northlies m8

the pier is open to the public on the top level only, in good weather through out the year in various times depending on winter or summer. the pier is unfishable at the moment but this w/e you will see the idiots risking there lives. davy.
