Hello Lads , can anyone recommend the best F/S reel for around the £100 mark , might be able to stretch a bit further for a good un.

the diawa opus bull is a cracking f/s for around the £70 mark
Really powerful, rock solid but a tad heavy, full metal reel no nasty plastics

I've got a penn surfblaster 8000 bit on the large side but a cracking reel comes with braid and mono spools and there about £79.99 at the min I think, there also a 7000 model

I've just bought a Surfblaster 7000 myself, checked out the 8000 but felt it was a bit big for me, and definitely heavier than the 7000.

I've not had a chance to try it yet but it looks and feels excellent, very well made and finished.

I'm hoping to get out over the weekend sometime to see what its like

Just spotted this today, I'd have had it in a flash last week!

(I'd have it now if I had £40 going spare!)
