        Around here you won't go far wrong if you take the kids to the Aln, just down from the bridge at Alnmouth.

        Fish on a rising tide with mackerel or peeler and you'll catch flatties !

            panns bank under wear bridge beside student flats , best bait is crab with out a dought .

              potts theres loads of flatties and eels in the tyne.try the copthorn hotel upwards 2 hours either side of high water.fresh crab,mackerel and squid will catch.
              theres small car parks just up from the hotel plus its comfy fishing and you can catch them 10 yds out

                Craster harbour at high water is nice and easy with the kids. If they're very young you'll have to watch them as it is quite high up with no rails. again worm and fish baits will do.
