    Hi lads av been reading some post on these rods and seen canny rods for the price .Whats the difference in the old ones from the new ones and your forts on these rods ?Cheers jonny

    As far as I remember the older version was a bit thicker blank and used bnhg guides the newer version uses a slimmer blank and alconite guides as far as I remember but I'm sure someone will be along shortly who probs has both and can tell you better

        As said above just slimmer blank and different eyes if had the older ones before cracking rods and my mates just bought the newer model still stiff rodb

          they look fantastic and real value for money. Never heard bad thing about them when I have fished with lads who use them.

            I had one of the old ones and once you got used to it, it was a cracking rock/heavy ground rod. The reel seat was total crap though and I dropped an Abu reel on mine from about 1 foot high and it shattered it ! I replaced the seat for an Imax one which was much better. I sold the rod on some time ago and like always, wish that I had kept it ! A word of warning though, be very careful where you buy the rod from from as I have come across them priced from £100 up to £169 in local tackle shops !!

              Canny rod but but really stiff. I had one and the tip snapped when just reeling in don't no if it's a common fault but mind the shop did replace it as it was only about 6 weeks old.
              Size codling since sept 2013 = 46. Best so far = 5lb4oz
