Cullercoats would be my choice like Peter, the bigger the better for me there.
    Regards Nicky.

the crescent al hartly always fishes well in a northly and surely you know cullercoats harbour fishes best in a northly sometimes better in daylight. slaty also best in a northerly but in darkness where you get shelter from the harbour and crab hill. davy.

As davy says mate there's not a better local place then cullercoats in a big northerly in daylight. If I was you that's where I would be heading.
          Regards Nicky.

Fish into the harbour mate, either off the south side which I prefer or the skeers on the north side, goatsies, warriors etc. You can fish off the south pier following the tide down after the seas died down but don't give it a thought in the forecast seas.
              Regards Nicky.

It's flat at present, blowing a strong westerly. It's forecast to come away from tomorrow I think from the north.
                    Regards Nicky.
