I'm going out tomorrow and was just wondering wheres the best place to park when fishing the walkway in south shields can you park in the pubs car park there? Also hows the winds up there seeing the weather forcast they have to be touching gale force tomorrow do you recon its still fishable?

What pub do you mean? There parking at the end right next to the boat club. May be a bit windy as it's quite open mate

You can park at the hotel mate . If it's too windy try the small beach behind the groin at least you'll get some shelter there

Can't be a bit funny at the hotel though, I went in there for a christening and had to get something from reception for the parking to prove I was at the hotel. Might have changed now tho.

There's room for about 5 cars Inbetween the boat club and the houses.

the 1st and only time i fished it, i parked just near the Sailing Club, plenty of space, lads were however parking in the carpark inside the little housing estate that faces onto it.
            Cheers.

From reports, there has been lots of trouble with the Residents over Parking. Even heard of some damage to Cars, so would stay clear of that. I have used the Hotel Parking quite often & never had bother, just keep away from the entrance area.

Wouldnt advise the walkway tomorrow like mate, cormorants in the wear might be worth a shot

The wind will be going straight over the top of you, certainly be more comfy than the wlakway
