just bought my new Greys GRX-s and love it

but can still only cast 40-50 yards at most

gonna keep trying though, even though mate keeps taking the water about the distance i'm getting.

he says i should be getting 100yrds+ with me being 21years old.

i have been fishing dene holme area with mixed success. If you fish with small baits on a two hook rig with size 2 or 1 hooks you should get fish, The beach has been fishing better in day light.

Seaham club is a good place to start tommy, fished theyre summer matches last year and found the lads to be a canny bunch and very helpful. If you join the club it costs you an initial £25.50 but with that you also get a key for the north pier whickh will give you easy fishing and it is a good mark too. Just read reports of some thornback rays and dogfish off there aswell just last week. Kenny from the club gets on this site so he will give you more info on the club and prices etc.

will put a list of prices on later when i get a full breakdown but i believe it is £26 .50 for an adult with the key , if a group of lads fish together then you can get one key between you . at the moment best time to join is friday or saterday after 10 am and phone to make sure someone is there before going the number is 0191 5810321
