How Was It For You ?

With the cod season winding down (barring a rare "spring run") I was wondering how you all thought it had gone.

Myself, It was not too bad, I'd class myself as a pleasure angler,the few times I was out I got fish, I managed a few fish per session, before Christmas was best for me. Not so good after Chrimbo, but was mainly out with a mate recovering from a serious head injury so fished mostly beach marks. My 2 best fish, 6 & 7 lb
I'm going to give the "red cod" a go this summer, as it's not something I've tried before. Anyway only 7 months to go before next winter!.

It was quite a poor season for me this year, probably because i didnt get fishing untill late december due to a broken leg. Although i caught my P.B, 8lb 9oz most other sessions resulted in little or nothing. I think i only had about 10 size codling nd im out every weekend. My wierdest catch was a dogfish from Blyth pier. Im gonna be fishing up Scotland a lot this summer as its something ive never really tried. (usually pack up the sea gear and get out the co**** gear). Also looking foreward to the boat fishing got my P.B last year 9lb 2oz and ill be hoping to better that this year.
