    Would I be right in thinking the new Q3 is inbetween a P2 and a P3.

        Are you sure phil I thought the p3 was a j curve and the q3 is a c curve that's why I thought it was inbetween p 2/3

          Bloke at jakes custom rods said its the new version of the p3 lighter faster recovery but I don't think there as stiff

              Q3 is a brilliant rod light and very very powerful the P3 is a pig !!!

                They're lighter and slimmer but through actioned and not as stiff - the P3 is fine for the heavy stuff but I didn't fancy the Q3 (I think it would be ok for mixed ground and the like) as I don't like through-actioned rods. P2 is like the P3 in action but for lighter leads, 4 to 6 or so, but the Q3 will cope with heavier leads. So comes down to what you like & want out of the rod really - P3 for me every time.

                  Gary I've got the p3,I've tried the p2 I thought the p2 was like my cm express better with 150 grm's.i rang jakes today and he told me 10 days till his next delivery.

                    im after a p3. they look a quality rod for the rocks up my way.

                    I might have to wait till the cod seasons done and sell my zipplex and get a p3

                      One word of warning they are awesome rods however check the spigot for wobble or knock had a customer tonight had the worst knock I.ve seen and this is a new rod I.ve already had this out with harrisons bit slow with thier emails etc apparently I wasn't pushing it in far enough funny thing was it was a 20 stone x bouncer we had to get the marigolds out to get it apart but it still had terrible wobble this is the 4th one I.ve had that has been dodgy quality control seems to have gone out the window or its some youngin on a yts lol still great rods if you get a goodin come on harrisons get your act together

                        It's funny you said that about emails and response sent one yesterday no reply as yet,not very good for the company flag stan.
