  • NESA AUCTION: Result

    Well.......that was a canny auction

Total raised in final bids is £394.99

This brings the toal amount raised by NESA for the RNLI to £9,539.99

Thanks again to all those who took part - the auction wouldn't happen without items to bid on and people bidding on them.

Some close-run things towards the end, there....lol

The battle between blackrat and kensr27sz was very tight for the fishbag

The gas burner nearly WASN'T an auction item - Keith wasn't sure if it would fetch anything. He told me "ah well - if it goes for a fiver, every little helps"..........this item also had a bit of a battle over it.....lol, eventually going to Peterm for £20

Nice to see Stores got his whisky.....not 1 - but BOTH bottles. That should see you through a weekend, David

Shame that the Clay Pigeon Shooting lot had to be withdrawn, but I understand Stueys' concerns.

    Thankyou all again.

I'll be contacting all the successful bidders over the course of this weekend to let them know where to send their cheques.
Once I've recieved payment for an item, I'll contact the person who donated the item to let them know that arrangements can be made between themselves and the successful bidder regarding delivery / collection of the item.

    NOTE TO THE ITEM DONORS:
Please don't hand over any items BEFORE I contact you about confirmation of receipt of payment.

Once I have all the cheques in, they'll be deposited in the NESA Fund Raising Account and the money will later be sent to the RNLI.

Aye close finish. Had my eye on that one though, bit tactics at the end to win. All in a good cause so it must be worth it.

£9,539.99p correct to 4 significant figures seems more acceptable. Will make it up to £9,540 lol. Along with all the others thanks Tony. By the way are we still collecting phones as I've got a few.

Anybody who was following the auction will have seen that it was a VERY close-run thing on the gas burner item donated by KeithB: Rod-the-Cod bidding at 11:59 - only to be beaten by Peter.m right on the stroke of midnight..........

Well.....to lessen Rods' disapointment, Keith has another burner (slightly damaged) which Rod will be getting. Rod has just called round and donated a tenner to the auction.

Thanks Keith for the 2nd burner and also to Rod.

The additional tenner (and the extra money included on some of the cheques I've recieved) have pushed to total raised from the auction to over £400.

I'll post the FINAL total raised from the auction once I've recieved ALL the cheques.

Yeah right, and that money would have still been raised if you had not bothered to organise it.

No I don't think so mate. While we are sitting here looking after things you are still sitting there looking after all of us lol.

                      Jim.

Well - I've just recieved the final cheque to come in from the auction and can confirm that the FINAL amount raised is £409.00

I'll be sending all the cheques (+ the £10 from Rod-the-Cod) off to Marc (our NESA Fund Raising Account Treasurer) so that they can be deposited into the account.
