  • hong kong spectra braid strength

    im just about to purchase some braid spectra dyneema braid for my braid spool to fish clean beaches only with, would 10lb be to weak with a 60lb leader with it been so cheap or is it strong this hong kong braid?

    Never used braid from the shore before but when using mono i prefer to go for around 18lb line. Braids usualy got a smaller diameter so youde b able to get away with heavey if you wanted.

      yeah same here ive never used braid like, I use 15lb mono and that can take hard casts so just curious about how light people dare go with braid

        10lb braid m8 will be like cotton , tying knots will be a nightmare tbh .

              use 30lb on the pike rods,its great.spectra braid 30lb is 0.26mm.

                I have 30lb braid loaded on my spinning reels and it casts a dream, much much better than a 10-12lb mono.... as mentioned, the smalled diameter means you can fish much heavier with the braid with no issues...

                  I just switched to the same diameter braid 0.35 ± 50 lb. Much better bite detection no shock leader needed. Got mine from Hong Kong £19 delivered for 1000 m , SPECTRA. Excellent.
